So Sorry

Like the title says, I'm sorry I haven't updated. It's difficult to find time to use the internet, but don't worry. When I have more time, I will update you on what we've been doing.

Love you and miss you all!

Exciting things

Exciting things: I have a picture now. I quit my job at Cosi for the summer. I have flights booked to Madrid and Milan. I picked up my phone for Turkey today. It still has a Scandinavian SIM card, but that'll be fixed soon. Ooh! And I made gluten- and dairy-free chocolate chip cookies, and they taste good! Bri and I also changed our plans for the second part of our tour of Europe. Instead of going wild, trying to see a million things in 10 days, we're just going to find the cheapest place to fly to and then take it from there. That's about it. Today has been rather boring.

there's 3 things you could be feeling: overwhelmed, underwhelmed, or just whelmed

side note/preface: this song reminds me of middle school and summer.

well here's the good news: i'm finally getting things done for the trip. i paid my tuition and housing. i'm getting paperwork submitted. things are really coming together.

bad news: i'm slightly overwhelmed. there's a lot to do in a little time. my cousin is getting married. my classes are kicking my butt (not in an abusive way, but more like a good workout). it's going to cost a lot of money, etc etc etc.
sometimes i feel like i'm not ready to leave. things are going really well with my family, and i'm going to miss them. i love the girls i live with and welp, this is probably my last chance to live with them, or atleast with becky. i'm also going to miss the weddings of some very important people this summer.
lastly, my health has officially taken a crap on me. i'm allergic to gluten and dairy products, and all their little by-product/food-additive friends. while i'm starting to feel better, it can be hard to find things to eat, and when i don't pay enough attention, i really pay for it later. this could be a problem in a country where i don't know the words for: wheat, barley, rye, milk, whey, etc. not to mention, i have like 8 million doctor's appointments before i leave.
oh yea, and our house feels like a flippin' sauna. granted we've figured out a system which creates a nice breeze, but it still gets pretty hot.

it's a pretty good thing that God is in control of my life, because i wouldn't know what to do next. i sort of feel like abraham right now. God has told me to go, but hasn't told me where. yea, i know i'm going to turkey, but there's a lot of things in the trip which are still up in the air. and then there's life after the trip, which is even more up in the air. you could say my anxieties and excitement cancel each other out. in which case, scott santee would say that i am whelmed.

Cosi

Um....yea... It's Sunday. I have to go to work in a few. I changed the colors of this thing. We'll see...

Oh yea, Jen Clark. She's a weird one.

I read the DaVinci Code in 3 days.

I'm also finding it interesting that my allergy doctor warned me that the new nasal spray he prescribed tasted pretty terrible, but he never said anything about the SUPER bad tasting eye drops that would eventually leak through to the back of my throat. Water only makes it work.

I leave soon, and I like that.
